Kodak Playtouch vs Kodak Playsport

With the competition’s results in, many people have asked the question… Kodak Playtouch vs Kodak Playsport – which is better and why? Let’s make one thing clear, both of these products are top-notch. They are both creations of Kodak, which is a company whose name you can trust to produce very high quality products. However, when we compare both of these camcorders, the Kodak Playtouch has a slight edge over the Playsport. This advantage mainly stems from the fact that the Playtouch has better low-light performance, a larger screen (including capacitive touchscreen), and is also better integrated for social media sites.

You need to keep in mind that both of these cameras do have a lot of things in common. For example, they are both ultracompact. Each has a variety of storage features that are similar as well as the lithium ion battery. However, what you need to remember is the fact that one camera, specifically the Kodak Playtouch, while being slimmer and snazzier, is truly designed to work with popular sharing sites such as Facebook and YouTube. This is especially apparent with the exclusive Kodak Share feature that makes uploading as easy as pressing a button. Some people wonder whether or not a company like Kodak are scamming others by calling such a similar product by two different names. In essence, the thinking is that they can actually trick someone into buying at least one of their cameras if they duplicate what they’ve put out there in the past.

The short answer to this question is that both of these cameras have very different goals and very different user input in mind. Whereas the Playsport is primarily suitable for outdoor use, the Kodak Playtouch is more for the “socialite”, with the added functionality of being able to capturing videos in very dimly lit conditions (i.e. nighttime social events).

Here’s the bottom line regarding the infamous Kodak Playtouch vs Kodak Playsport question. The Kodak Playtouch has some advantages that cannot denied. You should try that camera today, you’ll like it a lot!

Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
